For those who are not aware, Princess cruises newest ship, the Royal Princess has its official maiden voyage taking place on the 16th June this year. This however is no ordinary launch. We have all heard of a prequel to a film series, but a prequel to a maiden voyage????????? Confused? Then read on.........
Princess Cruises have announced that there will be two preview cruises on board Royal Princess, giving passengers the
chance to get a taste of the new ship before the maiden voyage.
Two cruises on 9th June and 14th June will sail round trip from Southampton
on a two-night itinerary which will include a call in St. Peter Port, Guernsey.
Both cruises will go on sale on Tuesday, 29th January at 2 p.m to
passengers already booked on the maiden voyage, and Wednesday 30th January at 2
p.m to all other customers. Fares start from £349pp for a balcony
stateroom.
The new ship will be 141,000-tons and will be the biggest in Princess's fleet. There are a few exciting new bells and whistles on board. The Seawalk is a cantilevered, glass-enclosed walkway that will extend 28 feet beyond the edge of the ship and 128 feet over the water.There is also a first for
cruising with a television studio on board and a fondue dining option.
