Seabourn have announced the sale of the line's original three vessels Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend. So what does this means for Seabourn, are they down sizing or just preparing for the future?
Well it turns out they are preparing for the future. Seabourn is apparently in discussion with shipbuilders and an order for a new ship is likely to be announced soon. In the words of Seabourn President Richard Meadows "Seabourn remains dedicated to our mission of creating the world's finest travel experiences through our small-ship cruising product. Our three newest vessels, Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn, and Seabourn Quest have raised the bar for ultra-luxury cruising and we intend to add a fourth ship of similar design". The new ship will allow Seabourn to maintain much of its current guest capacity. Unfortunately that is about all we know.
For anybody currently booked or thinking about booking, Seabourn have confirmed there will be no disruption in service or changes in operations on any currently published Seabourn voyages.
